Sophia’s Fund Fuels Oncoheroes’ Fight Against Childhood Cancer

Boston, MA., Jan. 20th, 2026. – Sophia Donnaruma was a vibrant young girl who touched the lives of many before tragically passing away at just 4 years old from neuroblastoma. In her honor, Sophia’s family created Sophia’s Fund, a foundation committed to supporting the childhood cancer community and preserving Sophia's bright legacy.

Since its inception, Sophia’s Fund has been dedicated to making a difference by providing financial assistance to families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis, brightening the lives of hospitalized children, and funding critical pediatric cancer and brain tumor research.

After learning about Oncoheroes Biosciences’ progress on the compounds in our pipeline, Sophia’s Fund chose to support us. Their contribution will be directed toward advancing our clinical trials. Sophia’s Fund expressed their alignment with Oncoheroes’ mission, as Benjamin Donnarumma, founder and Dad to Sophia (forever 4) says, “It is my belief that pioneering companies like Oncoheroes, dedicated to advancing and repurposing drug candidates specifically for pediatric cancers, represent the future of oncology innovation and hold the key to discovering life-saving cures for children in need."

Tony Stoddard, Board Member & Dad to Cole (forever 5) added, “We voted to donate the money to Oncoheroes so we want to give kids a better chance than our kids were given to be cured of cancer and live the long, happy, healthy lives they deserve!”

Oncoheroes extends its heartfelt gratitude to Sophia’s Fund for their support and shared commitment to transforming pediatric oncology. Together, we are honoring Sophia’s legacy and working toward a brighter future for children battling cancer.
